Below, are two graphs that look at the average number of ideas participants generated as a function of whether the group or the individual got credit for the ideas and whether the group had included or excluded the participant. Although the two graphs contain the same data, the first makes it easier to see that exclusion increases idea generation for participants receiving individual credit but decreases idea generation for participants in the group credit condition.
